The Steel Defender's Hitpoints are calculated like so: "2 + your Intelligence modifier + 5 times your artificer level"
I've been doing the math like so: 2+I+5L=H
But then I realized the "2" in that equation is probably there because that's the defender's constitution modifier. If that's the case, then shouldn't the equation be (2+I+5)L=H? That might not seem like a big difference until you remember your order of operations from grade school, but it actually makes a HUGE difference. It could be read either way; is there any statement on what the intention is here?
