I really like the Souldbound weapon ACF for the Psychic Warrior, but the need to spend a round to summon the weapon is really irksome.

Is there a way to make it a swift action without spending 6pp and Psionic Focus to quicken it? Psionic warrior can hardly afford this cost, and it would make the whole weapon near useless.

Alternatively, a way to make calling last longer so that I would not need to call it every combat?

Linked Power (CPsi) calls it the following round, but it doesn't require you to spend that time actively summoning it. If you Link it to an immediate action power, such as grip of iron, you may manifest the combo immediately before your turn and have your soulbound weapon immediately. You can also Link synchronicity so you get back the standard action you spent starting the combo that you can then use for whatever you want.

You can't use an immediate action before your first turn unless it's has a special exception like Nerveskitter because you're flat footed.

You can't use an immediate action before your first turn unless it's has a special exception like Nerveskitter because you're flat footed.Anything that allows you to take an action prior to your first turn would break being flat-footed, such as (psionic) contingency (synchronicity) or Craft Contingent Spell (temporal acceleration).

You could use either of those to summon your weapon, as well.

Am I understanding it correctly that this does not change the power point cost of the powers called?
You pay yhe same pp cost, just pay it immediately, rather than over two turns?

You pay yhe same pp cost, just pay it immediately, rather than over two turns?Linked Power uses the cost of the second power as an augment cost to the first. So two 1 pp powers Linked together would cost a total of 2 pp. There is no additional cost, other than psionic focus.

This makes Metapower (Linked Power + synchronicity) a rather fantastic deal, since it reduces the cost of Linked Power by 2.

Creatures with access to psi-like abilities can use the feats Empower Spell-Like Ability and Quicken Spell-Like Ability

Contingency and Temporal Acceleration are both 6th level powers though, and Contingency costs XP (not much but it adds up).
Even disregarding how late you get them for the PP you could just Quicken Call Weaponry instead, which OP already said is too expensive.

Craft Contingent Spell (Temporal Acceleration) is even worse considering the crafting cost and that you need it every combat.

For a more practical solution Detect Hostile Intent makes you immune to being flat-footed for 10min/level as a 2nd level power, but it only works against things not immune to mind-affecting.

There's also the option to work around the problem with the Sense Danger power (MoE) which allows you to manifest a 1 PP standard-action power as an immediate action in the first round of combat.
The synergy with Synchronicity is obvious.
