So I'm looking at fear spells in pathfinder, and the progression seems odd.
Cause fear is the lowest level and it causes frightened in one creature at close range.
Then there is scare, which is a higher level but barely better. It is theoretically a longer range mass version of cause fear, but only affects two people at 6th level. The HD cap isn't even any higher.
And then it jumps right up to fear which is a mass version with no HD cap, as opposed to the others. What gives?
Are there any fear spells that bridge the gap between 1 person with limits and every person with no limits?
