Drakewarden X, Barbarian 2: Good Mix or Too Much?

Every time I've looked at the Drakewarden I haven't been able to sake the idea of a Ranger getting in the mix with a Greatsword next to his Draken Buddy, unlike the typical backline ranger. Even though Ranger is a casting class, I figured that if I was making a STRanger that maybe a one or two dip into Barbarian would be nice? So that the spells can be mostly to supplement the Drakes health after combat on top of being front line and damage soak so that the drake doesnt getting scuffed as much.

What do you think of this mix? I've been interested in seeing cool combinations with this subclass.

The mix will be extra MAD.

You need 13 Str, Dex and Wit to fulfill multicalss requirement, and you cannot dump Con as you are a frontline.

A furious drake partnered with an extra-angry ranger sounds cool, anyway.

With Point Buy and Custom Lineage, you could have 16 Str, 14 Dex, 14 Wiz and 12 Con.
