What are the best-designed homebrew classes that you've seen? Either prestige or base.

Does 3pp count as homebrew? If so, basically everything Spheres.

Well preferably things that haven't been officially released and that you wouldn't necessarily know about.

In general I'm a fan of Grod's "Giants And Graveyards" (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?329161-Giants-and-Graveyards-Grod-s-collected-3-5-revisions) classes. In particular, I like the Roguetotum (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?259254), Paladin (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?221312), and Seer (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?314601).

I like NigelWalmsley's stuff, but you've posted in his threads so I'm sure you're aware of them. Besides that, I like a bunch of the gaming den's stuff (https://radthemad4.github.io./Gaming_Den_Bookmarks.html) (This is just a repository. Definitely not vouching for all, or even most of the things in this link), though the power level is kinda high. Some of my favorites are

Kaelik's Barbarian (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=57041)
Frank's Soulborn (https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Soulborn_(3.5e_Class)) (I like gist of it, though I'd get rid of the numeric bonuses, charisma to saves and infinite smites which in practice made it kinda OP)
Koumei's Rogue (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=57617)
Frank and K's Monk (https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Monk,_Tome_(3.5e_Class)) (Personally, I feel like it should get Master Fighting Styles from 7th level if used alongside typical gaming den material)
Hicks' Mage (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=52837)
Kaelik's Wizard (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=55867)
Kaelik's Cleric (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=56589)
Kaelik's Spirit Shaman (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=56211)
Koumei's Witch (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?p=534641#534641)
Frank and K's Summoner (https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Summoner_(3.5e_Class))
Kaelik's Elementalist (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=56973)
Koumei's Ninja (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?p=232386#232386) (Kinda silly, but having at will invisibility, disguise and alter self gives it a decent amount of non combat utility on a full BAB class that hits people without being a spellcaster which seems quite rare)
Kaelik's Sorcerer (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=56529) (Just a straight upgrade to the 3.5 Sorcerer)
Koumei's Time Mage (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=50995)
Koumei's Warmage (http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=50032)
Frank's Marshal (https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Marshal,_Tome_(3.5e_Class))
Frank and K's Knight (https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Knight,_Tome_(3.5e_Class))
ZER0's Ranger (http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=49226)

Koumei's Archetypes for various Gaming Den Classes (and Druid) (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=57539)
Koumei's Monster PrCs (http://tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=54136)

I really like the Monstrous Armiger (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?223810-The-Monstrous-Armiger-3-5-Base-Class-PEACH) myself.

First there's the lovely lovely concept- You're an occult warrior who summons beasties to be your armor.

And summon as in the summon monster line of spells, so pretty versatile.

Was built with the prestige class compatibility, and suggestions for a druidic equivalent.

I've always seen the Tome material as the definition of overcorrection. They revel in violating WOTC's sacred cows of 3e design, which is right to do, but they end up seeming like acts of rebellion instead of grace. Like Barbarians living until -200 hp and getting at-will SODs at level 1, really? At will no save SODs at 17? Come on. The core concept of barbarian being a berserker who gets stronger as they lose hp is a decent idea though, and better implemented than 3.5 berserker ACF. That's the thought process I find myself going through for most Tome content.

That Elementalist axis mechanic is very interesting.

That warmage fix is pretty awesome, especially all the ACFs.

These are the ones I always liked:
Dawnblade (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?190289-3-5-Dawnblade-the-duskblade-s-paladin) (Offensive paladin)
Knight-paladin (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?187700-3-5-Knight-Paladin-Remix-Knight-Paladin) (Defensive paladin)

The Revitalized Marshal (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?392716-The-Marshal-Revitalized)

I also liked DSP's Metamind.

Also, is self-promotion considered in bad taste?

Two of my characters have a home brew class

1) Archblade (https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Archblade_(3.5e_Prestige_Class))

2) Ronin (https://dungeons.fandom.com/wiki/Ronin(3.5e_Class))

The Archblade is fun but maybe OP, the Ronin I just took for the 1st level. My 2nd level will be Bard.

The Esper Knight (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?169532-Esper-Knight-Essentia-meets-The-Force) can do some fun things for those that spend the time investing in it.

Also, a thread (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?74519-Descent-of-Shadows-Project-Shadow-Returns) of great options to help those who want to play a Shadowcaster.

I also homebrewed an upgrade for the fighter so it can be better at fighting. It's free to use and can be found down in my sig.

I'm quite proud of the homebrew in my signature, if I may say so.

That monk homebrew is actually quite impressive. I usually use the Pathfinder Unchained version of the monk, but this one is also very well designed.

I don't have many classes, but I do have a bit of homebrew. Additionally, we've made it this far without anyone bringing up the various Ozodrin versions, the Harrowed (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?167195-3-5-PEACH-The-Harrowed-(Now-With-Feats)), the Vector Witch (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?228402-Vector-Witch-(3-5-Base-Class-Based-off-of-Soul-Eater-Antagonist-Medusa)), the Redshirt (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=12305541&postcount=6), or Missingno (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?337909-The-Missingno-(No-really-it-s-serious-PEACH))? What gives?

Converting 5e monk/fighter is an interesting way to fix those classes. :)

I myself prefer the unchained monk and PF fighter with stamina.
