For those of you that don't know, Wizards has a week of games and contests of all sorts every year called UnCon. This year however they decided not to run it so a bunch of us came together to bring it about ourselves.

Here are links to a handful of the homebrew creation contests...

Creature contest (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=948556)
Combat Feat contest (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=948766)
Prestige Class contest (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=948793)
Spell Synergy contest (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?p=14257810)
Subtle Psionics contest (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=948557)
Upper Planar Locales contest (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?p=14253402#post14253402)

are we allowed to put in things we have posted here for contests before? how about homebrew that were posted to be critiqued, but not in a contest?

Can I post a possible entry here then submit it on the wizards' board? I have the same name there so I hope that will counter act any plagiarism accusations.

Hmm. There are quite a few classes I have posted here. I wonder if I should copy it and post it there.

I have heard bad things about the terms of use policy there... maybe they are just covering there <donkeys> (in case of parallel development) but I heard they reserve the right to publish anything that gets put up.
Can you speak to that?

All entries need to be something new if at all possible (and not posted on Wizards at all).

And yes, you can post your entry here, no problem.

I've yet to get a straight answer from this, everyone seems to disagree (and it's jussst amazing how many self-proclaimed lawyers come out of the woodwork... especially those not even of college age) but supposedly the rules are standard for just about all forums or somesuch.

So no, can't really speak to any of it.

True, but those are the best kind of lawyers. Or at least the most fun to watch fight.

Hey Tribble, I have two three questions for you:
1) Can I submit two entries if they are extensions of each other?

2) Other serious are the feat entries supposed to be? I've written up a mostly serious feat, but looking at the current entries, I starting to think mine is too serious. Do I have less of a chance because of that?

Thanks

Will have to elaborate a bit on that'un.

Well, it needs to be a feat that would actually be chosen by someone. It can be humorous if you like, but if it's not really usable it will get points taken away I would have to think. Really, half of those submitted aren't even really feats. Just 'haha, make some words and put feat over it, tee hee'... ugh, agonizing.

Basically, the first feat gives you a unique ability (the sigtar is based off of it) and I was considering making a subsequent feat that enhanced the first's ability. Would this second feat be allowed, or would it be best to just post the first and leave the second out?

Based on comments I've got, I'd say people would take this feat! While humorous in game because of its effects, it is serious.

Thanks, for answering!

Yeah, only the Tribble's and Tordak's are serious. But I'm worried mine is too complicate :smalleek:

Though it is one of my favorite creations
