Vancian preparation feels thematic for the studious/scholarly theme of the D&D wizard. Much less so for other classes like druid and cleric. For the cleric in particular it's terrible -- implication of being a miracle working priest is that you ask your god for blessings and miracles as needed. Doesn't feel thematic for clerics to prepare ahead of time. There's room for some "pray at dawn" stuff in their gameplay but it shouldn't dominate. One simple fix is instead of giving them domain slots let them cast their domain spells spontaneously in addition to cure/inflict -- matches the idea that they can ask their god spontaneously for miracles but only in relation to that deity's powers.

Spontaneous Domain Casting
Class: Cleric.
Level: 1st.
Replaces: If you take this alternative class feature, you don't gain domain spell slots.
Benefit: You can use your cleric spell slots to spontaneously cast your domain spells, in addition to cure or inflict spells.

This is probably a power boost, one that cleric clearly doesn't need, but this ACF isn't about mechanical balance so much as class gameplay.

A simple yet very flavourful mechanic, I like it.

Like it. may be a little OP on cloistered ones though. Maybe limit it to "two of your chosen domains" and let it be changed out every 4 levels or so.
