In my players next session I plan for them to encounter some robots. Is there a robot template in the game? I was thinking I could just reskin some other construct template if there wasn't but I wanted to be sure first. I found a Clockwork Golem but it's CR 12 and I'm looking for something in the 3-5 range rn.

Pathfinder has plenty of robots that can be very easily ported over. Should have everything you'll need.

Well there are the clockworks horrors from monster manual II, with the first two being 4 and 5,and there was a lesser version in the dragon magazine 350(it was a cr 2 if I'm not wrong) ,there are the warforged (if you consider them robots). There are the mechanatrix from fiend folio that is an outsider rather than a construct. If you want flying robot there is the stormcloud of thoon from monster manual V , and as boos with cr 6 there is the scyther of thoon from the same manual.
Other clockwork creature...clockwork mender, clockwork steed , clockroach from monster manual IV

There is a 3.5 conversion of Return to the Temple of the Frog that features Cyborgs, Robots, and similar types of creatures. Baring that, you can always take the coward's way out and use the Effigy template from Complete Arcane. You can also use Warforged, or take the robots from the 3.5 conversion of City of the Gods or the 3.5 conversion of Barrier Peaks (which straight up has a Robot template in it). D&D has a long rich history of adding robots into what was traditionally expected to be a magical fantasy roleplaying game; Unironically one of the things I absolutely adore about it. I love robots in my magical fantasy.

Return Expedition to the Barrier Peaks (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/d20m/20060505a) have Police Robot (CR 5)

I recommend checking out the Half-Machine template (Dungeon #91 pg106).

Its basically a bunch of traps that apply the template to unwilling victims.

If you reskin skeletons, zombies and golems they seem quite robotic.

The above suggestions are all very good. That being said, I do favor homebrew from time to time. I had my players run through an abandoned machine production factory that had robots and their ilk roaming around.

The list below runs quite the gamut of creatures of varying CR. Being homebrew, whether they are balanced or not for your campaign is something you might want to look into. Nevertheless, it's an expansive list, so you may find something you like.

The published robots can be found here (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/constructs/robot/). You can also add an Artificial Intelligence into a robot, using the AI template (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/templates/artificial-intelligence-ai/).

In the Pathfinder setting of Golarion, robots arrived when the spaceship of an advanced civilization crashed on the planet. If you want to learn more, you could check out the articles on the nation of Numeria (https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Numeria) and the Iron Gods adventure path.

The time I did this I just reskinned Warforged, or you could just homebrew something.

Effigy creature template. Complete Arcane, page 151.

This is pretty much exactly what you're looking for, a mechanical version of any creature you can imagine.

Automatons from MM2 are CR 3.
