So I was wondering the potential power of the Magical Guidance. I mean, Sorcery Point for skill Rerolls is nice but to use sparingly.

Rerolls on Initiative, Dispel Magic and Counterspell?

That can be clutch

Telekinesis too.

It's really good. It is an equivalent cost of a single level 1 spell, so you'll normally be able to pay for it when it'll come in clutch. Clutch ability rolls are not uncommon.

This is a huge boon to my own shadow sorcerer, who's skills are sleight of hand, stealth, deception, and persuasion. I expect it'll come up a lot with these skills.

It doesn't work for initiative because you can't fail the roll, it doesn't have a DC to fail.
It would work for counterspell and dispell magic.
