Does the green gas from a dretch's Fetid Cloud ability move to follow the dretch for its duration, or does it merely stay in place? Does it remain after the dretch dies? If a dretch's body disappears after it dies, does the cloud just remain in place?

Like similar cloud effects, there's nothing indicating that it moves (Cloudkill specifies that it does).

Other, similar, non-cloud effects, like troglodyte stench, specify that it's an area around the creature, which Fetid Cloud doesn't include in its wording.

So, since it doesn't specify? RAW, it doesn't.

This is a bit tricky. It's not clear in the text, so it could act like a cloud spell as Theodoxus said or follow the dretch around since it extends from its body.

The second question is a yes, Imo. It says how it's removed and the dretch's death isn't considered.

I feel like the third question depends on the first- if it follows the dretch around then it should disappear if the dretch disappears (because it follows the body) otherwise it should stay in place, I guess check with your DM?
