I need a Savage Progression for the Coatl (mm1 pg37, or Also on the SRD)I checked Savage Species, and didn't see it. I can't think of anywhere else to look for it, and I am not good at making those from scratch. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Medium Outsider (Native)
Speed: 20 ft, fly 20 ft (poor)
Bite: 1d2 damage plus poison (primary 1d4 Str, secondary 2d4 Str)
Darkvision 60 ft.

Take those base stats and spread the rest of their abilities over 16 levels, 9 of which grant an outsider hit die.

I threw this together pretty quickly, but it should work.

Not bad, Troacctid, but.... level 16 with 9 HD. Oof. I'm reminded of why I liked Oslecamo's monster class adaptations.

Well, that's how a couatl is: 9 HD, +7 LA. It's a savage progression, so you can always jump out at any time and take normal sorcerer levels if you prefer.

Isn't the ability to take cleric and air/good/law domain spells something that should be written in the base stats? And technically, +1 level of sorcerer at level 1 doesn't do anything. It should gain "casts spells as a level 1 sorcerer" at first level.

Thank you for this a ton. It is extremely helpful. I don't know why, but my brain takes a vacation any time I try to make a Savage Progression from scratch
