In the revised Shadow Weave Magic feat for 3.5 you no longer lose 2 points of Wisdom for not worshipping Shar. Is this correct? If not, is there anyway to overcome the wisdom loss?

The most recent version of Shadow Weave magic comes from Players Guide to Faerun, it no-longer penalizes wisdom, but it's requirements have changed. If Shar is your patron, you can take the feat, regardless of your wisdom score, if you do not you must have a Wisdom of 15+, that is all.

Thanks for the response. That's what I thought. Are there many spells with the light descriptor (which Shadow Weave users cannot cast)? A dip into shadow adept seems like a great deal. You get all those metamagic feats that helps to qualify for other things.

There's not a large number of spells that have the [Light] Descriptor, those you will miss most from the SRD would be Sunbeam for fighting undead, but hardly the most necessary spell.

Shadow Adept is a great Dip for the feats, they're all decent feats of course, but 1 class level for all three is a bargain by any metric.
