Title. More specific sub-questions:
Would the person you had possessed be left in the animal form after you left?
Could they end it early or would they have to wait for it to expire?
Could you end it early, or would you have to magic jar them again to do so?
Could similar shenanigans be done with other types of transformations?
Somehow I doubt any form of this has been covered by Sage Advice or similar (definitely not in October's compendium at least), or if it has it's so arcane my google-fu failed me...
