"Well, you crazy son of a git, the beast be around here somewhere. Somewhere down there," the captain of the airship informs Kravyard. The ship itself is soaring just above the cloudline, which is lower than normal. It's storming below, and before you went above the clouds, sheets of rain poured down and soaked you pretty thoroughly-though that's a minor and easily dealt with concern. More pressing is the knowledge that you're soon to be in for the fight of your life.

The captain continues, looking down at the clouds. "Reckon the storm outta clear in an hour or so. Want to wait for that?"

If you fight during the storm:

-Lightning won't hit anyone. I may use it for dramatic effect.
-Anything more than 100' away from the target has cover.
-Anything more than 300' away has three-fourths cover

Which is double-edged, since cover would let you Hide and increase your own AC, but would also increase Tyranno's AC, of course.

If you wait for it to clear, the weather won't play a role in this.

Kravyard sizzles with anticipation! I say now! Any objection!?
This is the pinnacle of their short life. The hunt to remember! Kravyard will live for less than a year, but, in that time, they will do what no one else could, kill the greatest beast to stalk the earth.
Kravyard looks to their party members, daring any to vote dissent.

"I'd prefer clear skies to shoot, but I think I can manage. It's only a problem if UCT is also among the trees and can gain full cover from us. Also the rain might dilute the ton of acid I've prepared over the last year.
My compromise would be to close in as the storm starts to abate, so you can use its cover to get near, while we have a clear shot as UCT is engaged."
Versus replied, nodding at his helmsman.

Lyral grunts in simple agreement with Verus' suggestion. The archdruid has been watching the skies with eager, almost hungry anticipation of the bloodshed to come, scanning the trees below for any sign of their quarry. Soon, it will be time to see which predator is the stronger. On his shoulder is perched a hawk - peregrine, the bird is called. He has had occasion to call it forth on several occasions, to stay within eye and earshot should he be forced to move out of range of communication.

Today's proving ground will likely see the creature's use.

Shrugging his shoulders, he takes a few steps towards the rest of the group, pointing up at the sky and then the leader-presumptive as though to confirm that he is willing to wait for storm's passing to make their approach.

"Right," the captain says. "We'll circle around here until the storm is gone."

The captain, being experienced in the matters of weather, is pretty damn accurate about when the storm will have cleared. As the thunder and lightning trail into the distance, you're left with only one set of noises-the roars of Ultimate Conductor Tyranno.

Since you're flying down, you'll be able to pinpoint UCT without too much trouble. The trees here are taller than he is, but not by a ton.

"Good man, keep her steady and up here out of reach. We might need your help catching up to the beast if it decides to run. Also, I have most of my adamantine arrows up here, so be ready for resuply drops.

Right. Would you mind starting the party by dropping a ton of acid." Verus lifted two bags that were clearly labled "Bag of holding".
"Just turn it inside out while you are above the beast and let gravity do the rest. There are 500 vials in each. Some are bound to hit.

I'll get out at 500ft and start hammering it from above once you have it's attention."

As soon as Ini begins, I'll strive to move straight above UCT at 500ft and beginn shooting at it with activated Oathbow

Feel free to roll my ini for me (mod +6)

Happy with the decision to wait until the storm spends his might, Bassari combs his fair hair behind his sharp ears and braids them together with skillful fingers. Standing near the railing of the airship his blue-eyed gaze sweeps over the wood far beneath the airship to get a glimpse of their terribly pray. Not a man of many words he silently directs a heartfelt prayer to Solonor and checks the string of his weapon of choice. A mighty bow - ready to rain death on any foe foolish enough to stand before the elf ranger.

Before the companions ride or fly into battle Bassari will cast a spell or two to finish his preparations before the fight.* The plan is sound. He is ready.

*
Will cast Freedom of Movement on himself
When we are about 660 feet form UCR he casts Improved Invisibility on himself

Lyral's eyes never leave the forest, waiting for the others to make their preparations as he completes his own. The last trace of thunder and rain yet echo for a moment before he takes them for what they are: the puissant roar of a grand beast. For the first time on the journey, he grins. Here, at last, he will lay claim to his title in the truest sense of the word.

Silently, the druid beseeches the purest essences of his forest home - thousands of miles hence - to bolster him. First comes the strength of the great roots; there is a surety to the magic, one born from marks on his arms that he has never been able to remove. It will keep him standing for a few precious moments, should the shadow of death close in. Next comes the blessing of the rivers and streams, born fluid and ever rippling, unable to be contained or slowed. They too are relentless in their course, yet their path is neither straight or fixed in one place. Finally comes the deep-bone chill of autumn's touch as the glades turn towards winter. Boreal winds buffet around him, misting his breath as gelid scales form on his skin.

When the others are ready to move out, Lyral will undergo his first transformation, body expanding outward to become a living whirlwind that descends from ship's deck down towards the treeline. He will not keep this form long - the moment he touches ground he will change again, into a form more worthy of combat against the tyrannosaur.

Lyral will cast Death Ward on himself as a matter of course. He'll also cast Freedom of Movement and Fire Shield to form a chill shield on himself as he takes Wild Shape form to begin his descent towards UCT. He'll ready Shapechange for the moment he reaches the ground. I'll assume for the purposes of his stat block that Heroes' Feast is still active.

Gazing out into the storm, Virok found himself in agreement with Verus. They had waited long enough for the hunt; they could wait another hour for more favourable conditions. Whatever his pride might call for, there was no sense in fighting the weather as well as their prey. The tyrannosaur would be enough of a challenge itself.

As the rain and winds started to relent, Virok made the last of his preparations. He fastened in place a sturdy shield, hardened steel polished to a mirror finish, and emblazoned with the golden sun of Lathander. His other hand wielded a heft cudgel of pure adamantine, equal parts weapon and badge of office. The belt at his waist infused him with supernatural strength, great even for a Goliath, while his enchanted cloak unfurled into the wings of a mighty hawk. Prayers were said, and spells cast, as he sighted his foe. When the ship drew close, Virok invoked one final blessing, bathing his companions in the dawnlight of the Morninglord. "For glory!" he yelled, leaping from the deck to the tree-line below.

While we are waiting for the storm to pass:

Casting Aid on Krayvard, Verus, and Bassari.
Casting Freedom of Movement on himself.
Activating his wings of flying.

Once initiative is rolled, he casts Holy Aura to cover the whole party, then floats down about 30'.

You see the beast below, just beneath the treeline. He lets out a massive roar of challenge.

Virok is up first. Take your turn.

Concentrating: Shapechange (1 hour)

The instant that the first wisps of air caress the forest floor, Lyral is changing again. What was once a weightless mass expands outward for a second time, this time into a frame that keeps growing... and growing... and growing...

A titanic frame born from the ground unfolds, tearing at the surrounding trees from root to canopy. Claven earth and sheer rock are absorbed into its craggy hide, the outer flanks of the beast more hillsides than arms and legs. Solidly built, it stands as would a misshapen man yet its shadow engulfs all before it. Veins of viridian crystal protrude out from all over its flesh, giving it the impression of a garden of shards in motion. The entity has no neck or head of note, but near the top of its mountainous torso is the distinct outline of a crude face: two slits for eyes and a cavernous hole of a maw which can barely be seen from the ground. It is the form of an elemental lord, and through it he will see combat with his prey on better footing.

His peregrine hawk caws as it flits around his head, nearing the cleric in flight so as to aid in relaying messages should the fight go ill. Meanwhile, Lyral in his new body adopts a fighting pose, feet grinding into the earth as he extends a truly massive hand. Holding one palm open to the sky in the dinosaur's direction, he locks eyes with the beast before extending his four fingers out and curling them back twice in quick succession. It's a universal gesture, its meaning known to even those of the meanest intelligence.

Come and get it.

Lyral's readied action triggers the moment he touches ground, casting Shapechange to transform into an Ogrémoch (https://5e.tools/bestiary.html#ogr%C3%A9moch_pota). He will then ready his action for this turn to attack UCT the moment it comes into reach (15 ft).

Empowered Slam: [roll0] for [roll1] bludgeoning damage (counts as both magic and adamantine)

His familiar will stay close to Virok to communicate the need for a Heal or a Mass Heal if things go south. He can always cast it himself, but that means giving up a round's worth of attacks which is obviously not optimal.

Versus didn't bother with casting another spell. He just stepped of the side of the ship and begann floating gently through the air.
"About 10 minutes worth of juice. That should be enough."
He spoke them the key phrase for his bow - he was pleased to see that the ranger also had one of his manufacture - and began shooting at the beast as it became embroiled in combat.

Seeing his comrades depart, the Shadow Elf gives a thankful nod to Virok for all his blessings and takes one more deep and calming breath. Instead of going invisible, he makes a small but mighty magical gesture above his quiver and smiles in a satisfied way.

As his turn comes, he takes to the air with his trusted winged boots, the elf gains fast in height and distance as his ears fill with the roar of the gigantic animal and he plummets about 60 feet down. Realizing his predicament the ranger soars back up, as fast as possilbe. He nocks an arrow and pulls back the string until the feathers of this first arrow of the day strokes his cheek with an old welcome familiarity. Then time seems to stand still for a moment as not two or three arrows take flight, but five or six, just within a heartbeat.

"Swift defeat to my enemies." Bassari whispers.
