I'm looking for a 3.5 stand-in for the Lovecraftian Horror Nssu-Ghahnb

It is the being responsible for spawning darkness and monsters into existence

Although it may not be mortal in lore, I'd like to make the encounter for the game into something manageable by a party ECLs 15-20, unsure where the campaign will end.

I'm away from my books but in a few hours I'm going to be looking for examples too

Mythic Pathfinder has Angurboda, and Monsters of Faerun has the deepspawn.

Not sure if there's an equivalent to the mythological echidna (who birthed monsters in the same way Nssu-Ghahnb does), but those come kind of close.

Bastards and Bloodlines is a 3rd party supplement that allows you to mix and match monsters, and the tauric template from the MM2 lets you graft monsters together. Start crafting some critters, then give a psionic character (or critter) thrallherd levels, and refluff.
