Earlier today (https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/28/us/nasa-astronaut-michael-collins-obit-scn/index.html).

“Being by myself in a machine up in the air somewhere was not unknown to me, and so everything was working well within Columbia, and I enjoyed it."

If this forum had a flag I would lower it to half mast. Godspeed General Collins.

My earliest clear memory is of the Moon Landing (my parents woke me specially for the occasion).

Sometimes it is good to remember the people just out of the spotlight. Rest in peace.

I wasn't around when the moon landings happened, but space and space exploration, including the moon landings, long captured my imagination.
See you, space cowboy, and godspeed.

I apparently watched it, although I have no memory of it. I was 2 months old and my parents held me in front of the TV.

Rest among the stars, good sir!
