Looks a bit like an artist-designed breastplate along with vambraces and greaves.

NNice. So the vambraces and the greaves could each be enchanted differently from the armor? Yes please?

Vambraces yes, greaves no. The description of a breastplate (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/armor.htm#breastplate) says that it includes greaves, so the greaves are part of the suit of armor and can't be separately enchanted. The greaves, though, are a separate piece of equipment and can be enchanted the same as any other garment that occupies the hands slot.

Wouldn't the take up a wrist slot instead? Also, is there any difference between vambraces and bracers? Vambraces are made of metal maybe? Or is it just another word used to describe them?

I think it's called the arms slot, but yeah, you're right.

Originally, a vambrace was the part of plate armor that went on the forearm, while a bracer was a sheet of stiff material worn by archers on the inner forearm to protect against being struck by their bowstring. Nowadays, though, RPGs often use them to mean "metal forearm armor" and "leather forearm armor" respectively.

This is the picture I generally use as a reference for armour pieces (http://medievallifestyle.com/armor-and-weapons/suit-of-armor.html). Vambrace is the word for the forearm plate as part of a suit of armour, bracer is for when it is considered separate from the suit of armour.
Like anything involving the English language, we stole the words from other languages and the meaning and usages are often muddled.
