So, just a thought experiment for possible homebrew in my game.
What if I were to "gestalt"/combine Cerebrex and Flux Adept (both from Dragon Compendium) into one prestige class? This would mean it was a full casting progression PrC.
If you got all of the special abilities and full casting, d6 HD, medium BAB, good Ref and Will saves, 8 skill points/level (combined skills from both classes) would this be a worthwhile PrC? My gut says yes, for the skill point boost alone. Would it be an overpowered PrC?
However, would you take this class if you needed to meet all the reqs though?
Skills: Concentration 8, Craft (alchemy) 4, Heal 5, Knowledge (arcana) 8, Spellcraft 8
Feats: One metamagic feat, Endurance, Great Fortitude
Spells: Able to cast 3rd level arcane spells
Heal is going to be problematic, although you could always delay entry until after 7th and take iot cross classed. Or be one of those Halflings that always gets it as a class skill.
Just a bit of a silly though exercise more than anything.
