RPGA's "Living Death" - any updates for 5E?

The subject line is the question - back in the day I enjoyed playing in the "Living Death" shared universe and have some modules I want to write up.

My enthusiasm flags when I consider having to either re-create or modify an entire ruleset just to get started though.

So rather than start with a blank piece of paper I thought I'd ask to see if anyone has already created or converted it to 5E. (I've checked DMs Guild but came up empty, but "living" and "death" returns a LOT of results over there.)

Over 1700 views and no replies, so I guess the answer is "no".

Welp, guess I need to roll up my sleeves and get working. Any suggestions of rulesets to borrow from?

I'd especially appreciate anything dealing with firearms that has been played enough to be confident in its balance.

Looked it up - Living Death was a campaign, not a setting. The setting was the Masque of the Red Death, aka Gothic Earth, and was based on the Ravenloft rules. The campaign itself had time pass as real world time passed, so the campaign ended in 2007 (setting year 1899).

I used that knowledge to google the setting for you, and I found this, which may be of interest to you. Rather than updating from the 2007 ruleset (which would have been 3.5 at the time, I believe) to 5E, this appears to update it to Pathfinder, but still, you might find it helpful.

I second it. Been waiting for years to find people who would be interested in playing in a MotRD campaign. We are using that rule set and having a blast
