I figured it'd be fun to comb through Dungeon and Dragon magazines for fun, powerful, and interesting things for players and DMs - spells, monsters, skills, magic items, whatever. This covers Dragon 274 to 363, and Dungeon 82 to 154 inclusive.

To get us started, I'll bring attention to Dungeon 135's executioner's mace and broodfiend. The former is a 2d6 x3 weapon that deals bludgeoning and piercing or bludgeoning and slashing, and is martial to top it off! The latter is an incredibly powerful minionmancer; it creates a ton of spawn of kyuss simply by existing, and if you have over 15 HD, it raises you as a favored spawn!

Take a look at this, it's pretty cool:

DISTURBING SPELL [GENERAL]
Benefit: When you apply a metamagic feat to a spontaneous spell, you may take Wisdom damage instead of increasing the level of the spell slot used by the spell. You take 1 point of Wisdom damage for each spell slot level.
You may only use this to offset the increased spell slot level of a single feat per casting, and you cannot cast a spell if the increased spell slot level would place it above your ability to cast. You cannot use this feat if the damage would lower your Wisdom below 1.

Dhalver-Nar or persistent sheltered vitality and this? Yes please. From Dragon 332.

Edit: One good thing about this is it can be combined with abilities that can't be used with higher level spells, such as havoc mage's battlecast, since you take Wis damage "instead of increasing the level of the spell slot". Eg, a caster who can cast 5th level spells could use it to battlecast a maximized scorching ray with a 1-level havoc mage dip.

Other stuff from D332:
Cult of Xoriat feat: gain several CL 1 SLAs. Might be useful to qualify for things.
Khyber’s Fury feat: +2 str, -2 AC while raging.
Aberrant Paragon PRC: gain aberration type in 3 levels with 2/3 casting and +2 to a stat.

Dang, nice. Check out this one:

TROLL BLOODED [GENERAL]
Prerequisite: Toughness
Benefit: You gain regeneration 1 as an extraordinary ability. Fire and acid deal normal damage to you. If you lose a limb or a body part, the lost portion regrows in 3d6 days. You can reattach the severed member as a full round action by holding it to the stump. You are fatigued while exposed to sunlight.
Special: You can take this feat at 1st level only.

Greyhawk racial feat from Dragon 319. Regeneration 1 at 1st level!
