If you have a chest with a vampire in it (probably in gaseous form) with it sealed to make it leak proof. The chest falls off a wagon carrying the chest falls into the running water below the bridge. Will the fact that the vampire is in running water hurt it? Seems like it should to me. Any thoughts as to why or why not?

There is only this these 2 questions so far. Should be more to follow.

Vampires are also unable to cross running water, although they can be carried over it while resting in their coffins or aboard a ship.

This should clear up this specific question. The coffin should effectively function as a one-man ship in this instance.

Does this apply to underground streams? What happens if they try to walk on a part of the world, but the other side is an ocean?

This is just a logically fallacious argument appealing to absurdity. The next section of the quoted text explains exactly how a vampire is slayed by running water. I didn't think it was necessary to quote this, but here you go. Link in my previous post.

Similarly, immersing a vampire in running water robs it of one-third of its hit points each round until it is destroyed at the end of the third round of immersion.

Thus, if you are not actively immersing the vampire in running water, water has no power over it.

It wasn't an argument, it was a joke.
