Creating a tunnel through sand

Is there any way to leave behind a tunnel through sand?

Our party is (all level 13);
Warlock (1 level cleric dip)
Wu jen
Spirit Shaman
Bard
Ranger (currently out of commission)

Preferably I would like spells we can use but items are also welcomed

Your best bet may be to have the Spirit Shaman retrieve Transmute Sand to Stone (Sandstorm, p124), cast it once to transform a 10ft-wide by 10-ft high by 230 ft long volume of sand into stone, and then use normal tunneling techniques to tunnel through the stone.

All you need is a Celestial Budger via Summon Monster I (Or optimally, Planarly Bound), and use it to dig for you. It has a burrow speed that leaves a tunel (unlike Earth Elementals). Wu Jen has access to it. In case it doesn't work, try Transmute Sand to Stone and then Soften Earth and Stone; The Budger should be able to make a quick burrow tunel through the Clay, and finally, use some fire spell to cook the clay.
