Prosthetic Limbs are a common wondrous magical item that replaces a limb. But does being a magical item make it magical when used as part on an unarmed attack for the purposes of overcoming resistance to non-magical bludgeoning attacks?

If and only if it says it does. Since it's not a weapon, it doesn't get any default properties like that. No more than gauntlets of ogre strength or any of the magical boots do.

Depends.
Or they can just go this variant (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6tz_von_Berlichingen#/media/File:G%C3%B6tz-eiserne-hand1.jpg) (think Berserk, cannon optional).
Assuming if you use limb-loss system in DND.
