Magic armor and adding/swapping wonderous item gauntlets/boots?

Looking through the descriptions in the PHB they almost all say "The suit includes gauntlets" and full plate also includes boots. How do you "exchange" gauntlets or boots for those like Gauntlets of Ogre Power or Boots of speed? I've never thought of this before. We've always just swapped whatever we wanted and not thought anything about it. Don't you need to keep the entire suit "together" for the magic to work? Like Celestial Armor or Demon Armoror Dragonhide Plate, etc.

Armor is always created so that even if the type of armor comes with boots or gauntlets, these pieces can be switched for other magic boots or gauntlets.That's from the

I could see fitting sabatons over your enchanted boots, likewise gauntlets over your gloves...

Does this also apply to enchanted pauldrons, bracers, gorgets, coifs/helms, gambesons, etc?
