Looks more interesting than I expected. Intended as a kids' show, but there's a glimmer of potential for more. Bit of a Rebels vibe, but better.

And I like what I see of the ship. But sadly, this will be on yet another streaming service I don't have.

Don't have enough info on it yet to form an opinion but...

According to wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Prodigy):
Kate Mulgrew returns as a holographic Janeway to act as a trainer.
It takes place in the Delta Quadrant.
It includes a Tellarite, a Medusan, both species from TOS.
It includes several races I am not familiar with.
It looks like no humans

Interesting concept. Other than Janeway, I hope they stay away from involving characters from the earlier series and just try to expand the universe a bit.
