Site speed

Has anyone been noticing the slowness of the site for some reason? I'm getting sometimes pages without CSS, or I'll be stuck waiting forever when posting but if I open another tab I'll see that I actually posted.

Network traffic real bad or something?

I'm having trouble with slowdowns too. I guess it's the bandwidth/server load issue. Or Atreyu is stuck in the server tubes again.

That is the reason why there is lag sometimes. Too many people here.

I've sped it up a bit by only displaying 10 threads per page and cutting off every single thread older than two weeks. Still very slow though... maybe we need to archive and cache a ton of threads then chuck them. Perhaps we could have people go through threads and flag them as unecessary and mark them for deletion?

At least maybe another "Category" to put a "Forum" in called the Village Heap or something and put all the trash and old threads into it, so we don't have to load them when we enter a forum...
