Is there any way that a character can take a feat at 2nd level, other than from a select set of bonus feats? I'm trying to work on a Monk build, but the first two levels would not be Monk; point being, there's a feat I want to take as soon as possible, and I could take it at level 2 if only I had a feat.

Generic expert or warrior? (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/genericClasses.htm)
This is kinda the same thing as asking your DM I suppose.

Human Paragon
Flaws are 1st level only
Asking the DM doesn't help me with a RAW-legal build
Human Paragon... could work!

might help some if you mentioned which feat you are aiming at. I am assuming here its not on the fighter bonus feats list..

Well, in the OP

emphasis added. I ended up going with Human Paragon, and the results can be seen here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63753)
