Is there anything a rogue can switch trap sense for?
I don't see any point in it atall. our DM doesn't really use traps much, so it might as well not be a class ability for me.
If there aren't any substitutes for trap sense, are there at least ways of making it good?

Penetrating Strike from Dungeonscape lets you deal half your sneak attack dice to enemies that are immune to it as long as you are flanking them.

Spell Sense (CM)--AC Bonus against spells
Penetrating Strike (DunSca)--Sneak Attack half-damage against things that would normally be immune
Death's Ruin (CC)--Sneak Attack half-damage against undead
Quick Fingers (DunSca)--Quicken Trap-Disarming
Halfling 3rd level Substitution (RotW)--Reroll Reflex Saves
Goliath 3rd level Substitution (RoS)--Gain bonuses on Know(Nature)
Rilkan Substitution (MoI)--Bardic Knowledge and a bonus feat

Don't forget the complete champion. You can identify religious relics with a knowledge(religion) roll.
