Hello friends,

I'm back to D&D 3.5 and looking for some ideas and advices.

The build is around Kobold race and Sorcerer progression, we will start at level 5.

Race: Desert Kobold Venerable
32 Point Buy

STR: 8 With Racial + Age = 4
DEX: 14 With Racial + Age =16
CON: 14 With Racial + Age = 14
INT: 11 With Racial + Age = 14
WIS: 9 With Racial + Age = 10
CAR: 18 With Racial + Age = 21

Level 1 - Kobold Paragon - Feat Dragonwrought Kobold - (Chaos Heritage - Sovereign Archetypes Loredrake)
Flaw 1: Empower Spell / Flaw 2: Heighten Spell
Level 2 - Sorcerer (Metamagic Specialist) - Draconic Rite of Passage Completed
Level 3 - Kobold Paragon - Feat: Draconic Reservoir
Level 4 - Kobold Paragon
Level 5 - Sorcerer

My ideia of progression:

Level 6 - Sorcerer - Feat: Invisible Spell
Level 7 - Sorcerer
Level 8 - Fatespinner
Level 9 - Fatespinner - Feat: Silent Spell
Level 10 - Fatespinner
Level 11 - Fatespinner
Level 12 - Sand Shaper - Feat: Arcane Thesis (X)
Level 13 - Sand Shaper
Level 14 - Sand Shaper
Level 15 - Prestige Bard - Feat: Twin Spell
Level 16 - Prestige Bard
Level 17 - Sand Shaper
Level 18 - Sand Shaper - Feat: Arcane Thesis (X)
Level 19 - Sand Shaper
Level 20 - Sand Shaper

Will end up like Wizards progression.

Prestige bard for awesome spells like:

Nixie's Grace (+8 Char)
Snowsong (+4 Char)
Sirine's Grace (Char into AC)
More skills and flavor.

What do u guys think about it?

Thanks !

Looks good except that it is undermined by the Sovereign Archetypes Loredrake cheese.

Level 1 - Kobold Paragon
Level 12 - Sand Shaper - Feat: Arcane Thesis (X)
Level 15 - Prestige Bard - Feat: Twin Spell

Will end up like Wizards progression.

You lose casting progression 3 times and you add +2 from Loredrake and +1 from _Greater_ Draconic Rite of Passage, so you break even and are exactly where a sorcerer would be, not a Wizard.

I don't see what Kobold Paragon is doing for you. +2 Charisma is nifty, but is not worth being a caster level behind. Good flavor, terrible mechanics.

Prestige Bard is nice, especially if you can access Bard spells outside of core (up to the DM), but note that you still need to use spells known to pick up the spells you want from it. Limited Wish would give you any Bard spell for a small XP cost or just picking up UMD works.

Sand Shaper is nifty in greatly expanding you spell list, but many of those spells are terrible. If you do want Sand Shaper, get access to Dragonblood Spell-Pact as soon as possible to swap them out for good spells.

Here is a thought:
Sorcerer 6/Incantatix 10/Sand Shaper 1/X 3 would end up extremely powerful due to all the free metamagic, including free feats, and a faster casting progression (you can get Iron Will from a magical location to boot)

Yeah, I would be hesitant to bring a Sovereign Archtype Kobold build to a DM as a player outside of a really high OP game (not even considering the legality of the build choice).
