Contingent safeguard enchantment

I know it almost never comes into effect, but I have always been worried about having a bag of holding and somehow going into a portable hole. Feels like a trap a high-level NPC would set, considering the prevalence of bags of holding among powerful parties.

Would it be possible to somehow create a contingent targeted dispel magic on your own bag before the rift to the astral plane is torn? Is there another possible safeguard that would function similarly?

Keeping the bag (closed) inside a closed normal backpack could work? If I remember well one time one DM with which I played said that was fine

I kept it in a glove of the master strategist, which kept it in stasis as one option
