I am trying to identify good methods for casters to cast personal range spells on other PCs but feel like I am missing several. Please let me know if you know of any others. This is what I have so far:

1. Rings of Spellstoring (DMG)
2. Bracelets of Spell Sharing (DMG2)
3. Spellguard (PGtF)
4. Runesmith (RoS)
5. Crafting Magic Items
- Skull Talisman (Frb)
-Attune Gem (MoF) 3.0
-Inscribe Rune (PGtF)
-Craft Contingent Spell (CA)
- Custom items
- wands, scrolls, schemas, and staves with UMD
6. Possesion
- Magic Jar (PHB)
- Fiend of Possesion (FF)
- Ghost (MM)
- Mind Switch (ExP)
7. Master Specialist, Abjuration (CM)
8. Crafting magical items
9. Fusions (directly or with familiar)
- Fusion power (ExP)
- When Two Become One (OA?)
- Metamorphic Transfer (ExPH) or Assume Supernatural Ability (SS) to polymorph into one of the psionic symbiotes from the FF.
10. Imbue With Spell Ability (PHB)
11. Ordained Champion (CC) Channel Spell ability
12. Spellsword (CW) Channel Spell ability
13. Erudite (CP) with spell to power ACF (PHB2? Need to verify) using Soul Crystal Power (MoI)
14. Divine Rank 1 gods can make any creature a familiar with share spell. (Dieties and Demigods? Need to verify).

Thank you

I think by Raw an Ocular Spell feat allows to cast personal spells as a ray

Have them merge with your familiar or animal companion (such as by having them cast When Two Become One while riding your animal companion or something similar), then use the share spells class feature.

I think by Raw an Ocular Spell feat allows to cast personal spells as a ray

"Only ray spells and spells with a target other than personal can be cast as ocular spells."

I love the idea of having a PC merge with my animal companion/familiar. That could lead to a wild build. I envision some sort of uber mount fused with a . . . Totemist and benefiting from all of my personal range buff spells. A huge sized horse with four clawed feat and four clawed arms, the face of a werebear, and surrounded by flames.

Skull Talisman (Frostburn): works similar to a potion, but can contain personal only spells, and can bestow the effect on anyone who activates it.

I feel like Imbue With Spell Ability should also work.

When Two Become OneWhy do the devs insist that PCs can only ride horses?

Why do the devs insist that PCs can only ride horses?

In this case, I'd imagine they were afraid of the implications of PCs giving each other piggyback rides before casting the spell. :smalltongue: Then again, I believe horses were given an actual LA in some supplement or another...

Fiend of Possession does something similar to the familiars trick: any spell cast on you affects the host creature instead, so Personal-range buffs on you affect the possessed creature.

Master Specialist (Abjuration) at 10th level allows you to take any abjuration spell with a Personal range and cast it as a Touch spell.

Arcane Archer's Imbue Arrow might allow you to stick a Personal range only spell on an arrow, but it's a RAW reading as likely to launch DMGs at your head as you launching an arrow.

I think magic jar should work.
You possess the PC, cast your personal buffs on their body, then skedaddle back to your soul gem. As long as they always voluntarily fail the save vs your possession attempt you can always jump back in if they need a top up.

Quick Potion doesn't work:

Only spells suitable for making potions can be used in this way

Spells with a range of personal cannot be made into potions.

Good call on Quick Potion.

On the plus side: it's the Runesmith which appears in RoS, Runecaster is in PGtF, and they can both make personal spells available to others (Runesmith arcane spells, Runecaster divine).

Edit: correction, you don't actually need levels in Runecaster, you just need the Inscribe Rune feat.

Ordained champion and spellsword can use their channel spell abilities on allies. Just hit em with a whip.

StP erudites can use MoI's soul crystal power to store spells and power points for others to use their actions to manifest, although it's treated as if the original manifester had manifested it.

A spell storing or power storing weapon can cast or manifest any spell or power with a single target on whoever you hit it with, including self-only ones.

Manifesting the fusion power on another allows you to cast spells and manifest powers on both of you simultaneously, since you're both one person.

A ghost possessing another can cast self-only spells on the inhabited body; de-possess them, and the spell should still be in effect.

A DvR 1+ god can make any creature his (or her, or its) familiar, including the Share Spells ability. Gotta take that as a divine ability, though.

An artificer / Alchemist Savant 5 might be able to swing something with the spell storing item infusion and the brew universal potion class feature but it would be very dubious.

The basic process would be brew your blank potion, add the spell storing item infusion for the spell you want, hand off the potion to a friend.
It's obviously outside the intended function of both those abilities, and what actually happens isn't clear. At best your friend probably needs to UMD the resulting stored spell.

Share spells (https://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/druid.htm#link) for an Animal Companion, Familiar, Eidolon, or similar being lets you cast personal only things on them. PHBII has the feat Companion Spellbond which increases the range of this spell to 30' and lets you cast touch spells on your companion at close range.

The PF1e feats Improved Spell Sharing (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/improved-share-spells/) and Improved Share Spells (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/improved-spell-sharing-teamwork/) each allow creatures besides the caster to be affected by personal only spells.

The (un)hallow/acorn of far travel trick (https://forums.giantitp.com/showsinglepost.php?p=22712846&postcount=1) could do it, if you tie personal effects to one of the (un)hallows under the tree's boughs. Note that the spell effects noted in the (un)hallow descriptions are examples and are not all-encompassing.

Find or plant an oak tree somewhere, preferably on a plane that is timeless with regards to magic. Cast a Sculpted (un)hallow spell so that it affects some of the tree's canopy. Tie the acorn of far travel (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fw/20040710a) spell to it. Now all the acorns in the AoE are affected by the spell, so you can give acorns out to whomever you like. (You can only have one AoFT spell in effect at once; this doesn't preclude you from affecting multiple acorns with the same spell.) Now use Sculpt Spell to make a bunch of line-shaped (un)hallow spells pointing straight up. Now each of these (un)hallow spells has a different spell attached to it, such as haste, polymorph, magic circle against evil, death ward, etc. Now you count as being under the tree's canopy while you hold the acorn, and all these spells are in effect under the tree. If you want more than one at a time, just make sure you occupy more than one 5' space, and make sure good spell combos are all next to each other below the tree's canopy.

The feat 'magic of the land' broadens spellguard.

Changing yourself into a symbiote (Fiend Folio) via Shapechange or using Assume Supernatural Ability provides the ability to share spells.

I looked into Posession, and my DM ruled that both a Fiend of Posession and Ghost with the Dominator Path, when posessing someone, and they cast a spell, they can have a spell with the range of self or personal affect the host instead.
