Am I the only one that thinks that Serini reminds him of Slappy Squirrel? Just a random midnight thought.

Now that you mention it, no, I don't see the parallel. She is more of a Bond villain who concocts an overly complex plan to solve a problem that exists only in her head, then refuses any other solution and sacrifices everything when her flawed assessment of the opposition becomes apparent.

Look how quickly she abandoned her loyal followers to whatever fate the OotS deals them.

The only confirmed sentients she abandoned were Mimi and Sunny, the various dropbears we've seen elsewhere aren't really loyal followers. The Order still haven't sussed out Mimi, and are unlikely to do so as they're preventing the retreat rather than blocking the goal.
Sunny is a bit more complex as, although they're currently blocking Elan and Minrah, whose danger is negligible even if they attack, Serini was hoping Sunny would block all of them. While V would be neutralised by AMF, Haley and Belkar would still be dangerous to a grounded Beholder who can't use it's eye rays (although Stone to Flesh combined with co-ordinated blinking could work on most of the Order). Until we know what her fallback plan was, we don't know if she abandoned Sunny or she's planning to go back to help. There's a difference between quitting the battlefield and returning to the supply wagon to bring back more ammo.

Okay, but we saw how well that worked out in Saving Private Ryan. And The Alamo. Wow, parallels all over the place!

TLDR: Dropbears! Ha! Thanks for that one!

{scrubbed}, dude. OP just asked a funny question and you took it from 0 to 100.

You must be new here. 0 and 100 are the only settings for opinions here.

I mean, it doesn't have to be... You are correct, but since it's the internet, it's the way things usually roll.

We have made some progress. It used to be 0 or 125.

I apologize if I crossed the line. My first sentence was supposed to be a (lame) funny retort. I have been told my sense of humor is the joke, and I have been told that my sense of humor doesn't translate well into English, which is strange because I only speak English.

It is never my intent to offend, and for doing so, I apologize.

Nope, it used to be 0 to 1. Then we got elephants, so we increased our positive setting to 100.

And now we have enacted Rule 2: never let a thread stay on topic.
Rule 2a is, never let a digression go off-digression.

Wouldn't that be rule 2b, with rule 2a being about the thread?

Or not 2B? That is the question.

One would have had to actually read the Forum Rules to be aware of such nuances.
