Since she's Haley's smarts, does this just mean she's a tip off to V?
Or is she not quite a human: and has to endure being of those cheap 'half-' templates?

It's a tip of the hat to V.

I'd say it's just a reference to V. Just like a real-world person would likely picture Albert Einstein if asked to think of someone really smart, Haley's inner Intellect is similar to the most intelligent person she knows.

Maybe it's a Vulcan.

Maybe it's a Vulcan.

That would be illogical.

Nodwick used a similar device, once. In one of the dead-paper comics, the party took a trip into Yeager's psyche, and his intellect was represented by Artax (the party wizard, for those unfamiliar with Nodwick).

Please! It's a Vulcan reference. Intellect and logic are sometimes used interchangably. That's haley's inner Spock speaking.

On the (I hope) small chance that you're serious (and if you are, I will never be able to take you seriously, ever) Vulcans are from Star Trek. They're the logical, intelligent guys with pointy ears. Spock was a Vulcan (well, he was a half-Vulcan, but he acted like a full-blooded one)

Everyone knows Vulcan is an ancient Roman god. *ducks*

No

To vulcan something is to dip into hot tin.

oh wait...that's vulcanize

Vulcan was Hephestus's (Greek god of the forge) evil Roman twin, hence the word valcano (ya know, fire and stuff).

Vulcan was also a hypothesized small planet that was supposed to be between Mercury and the Sun.

Trivia ftw

You mean Hephaestos?

Anyway, judged by the hair color, I'd say it's a Vaarsuvius reference rather than a Spock clone.

I can imagine someone asking Vaarsuvius, "How are you feeling?"

:vaarsuvius: ...that question is illogical. I do not understand.

Vulcan is a mountain that spits lava.

Ok... :smallconfused: *trys to find sense in Haley being a fire and lava spitting god/alien*
Why is an other aspect a paladin? You know, Haley's Mistrust. *Dun, dun, dun.*

No, no, they said "Roman" god. Hephaestos is the Greek equivalent.
