Stargazer + Arcane Hierophant …and Familiar?

I’d like to add a few levels of Stargazer (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/s-z/stargazer/) onto an Arcane Hierophant, but I’m not quite sure how the Stargazer’s familiar interacts with the AH’s companion familiar.

Would you end up with a familiar and a companion familiar? Or are you required to dismiss the new familiar in the same way as the original familiar? And if the latter, does your companion familiar increase its familiar abilities in proportion to your Stargazer levels, as if they were a continuation of your arcane caster levels?

This is mixing 3.5 and pathfinder so it’s a bit wonky anyway. But presumably since it treats your class level as wizard level the classes levels would presumably just stack with your wizard levels for determining what bonuses your companion familiar would get
