I'm playing a fathomless warlock on route 20 and I'm a little confused about the size of my tentacle of the deep token? The description says I create a 10 ft long tentacle, so will the token be 10 ft by 10 ft, essentially the same as a large creature?

It's spectral and doesn't state that it occupies its space, so it may not make much difference. However I always read it as being a Medium sized thing with a 10 foot reach. You are correct it's not specific about the intended Size, but I expect that's because it's spectral.

To paraphrase the above. The tentacle's effective size, as far as the game rules are concerned, is 0, as it does not control a space.
Much like an ongoing spell, it originates from a point from a point.
Fluff-wise, it's length is provided, but it is up to you to decide the rest of its dimensions. Depending on what fits your patron, it could be whiplike, mere millimetres in width, or it could be massive, with a width of several feet.

I would represent it with 2 squares rather than 4. As stated it's more like a minor spell effect than a creature.

Sorta like an Earthen Grasp then?

I waited a day before this post.

As long as you don't go around bragging about how big your tentacle is, I have no problem with it.

I would generally just use a medium token for it and treat it as having a 10 ft. reach, for simplicity's sake.

Your self discipline impresses me.
