Hey all, I am trying to find a prestige class but after not having found it I am unsure whether it is just me, not being able to find it or my memory being wrong.

It was an arcane caster prestige class that gave the character a domain to be added to the spells known/list (possible more than 1 domain?) as arcane spells.

Does that even exist... or am I finally getting old?

There are a couple. Sacred Exorcist is the most popular since it gives turns as well

Wearer of Purple in Dragons of Faerun?

When in doubt, use Troacctid's marvelous spellcasting PrCs sheet :

Rainbow Servant sounds like it could fit as well.

I am 92.37% sure that it was 3rd party.

Without more to go on, I doubt you'll be able to get more than you already have. "PrC that grants domains" covers a number of things, even in 1st party material, so you'd need to specify something about theme or other mechanics or intended entry to get useful results.

Not a prestige class but unearthed arcana let’s you try domain wizard from level 1 (you give up the chance to specialize though).

The thing that comes to mind is a Feat, not a PrC, but Arcane Disciple (from Complete Divine) lets you add a domain. You can take it more than once. If that's not it...

I am 92.37% sure that it was 3rd party.

Any hints on what 3rd-party books you were diving into? Anything you remember about it - the picture that went along with it, any random ability name, if it's 10/10 casting - could help.

EDIT: Also, not sure how comprehensive this is, but some brave soul tried to put together a list of all of the prestige classes including 3rd party, here (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?241689-A-Complete-List-of-Published-3-5-Classes-Includes-3rd-Party-(almost-500-classes)).

EDIT2: These look like they may be promising:

Thaumaturge |Magic |1 |Caster |Wizard with access to all spells, gains domains, cannot use metamagic

Shaman |Dry Land - Empires of the Dragon Sands |2 |Caster |Banishes Outsiders, casts from gradually-increasing number of domains (extremely limited at low levels)

The "Magic" book appears to be named exactly that, not an abbreviation for anything, published by AEG. (Authors Andrew Getting, Travis Heermann, Jeff Ibach, Michael Mearls, Jim Pinto, Eric Steiger, and Douglas Sun, according to rpg.net (https://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10248.phtml)).
