The Superior Psicrystal (https://libraryofmetzofitz.fandom.com/wiki/Superior_Psicrystal) feat lets you "upgrade" your psicrystal in one of a few ways, amongst them making it a "Crystalized Creature (https://libraryofmetzofitz.fandom.com/wiki/Crystallized_Creature)." If you've got 9 levels in psionic classes, one of the options for that is "any medium elemental." Now, obviously, this includes any of the standard elementals (Air Elemental, Earth Elemental, Fire Elemental, Water Elemental), but is it restricted to them, or does it actually mean any creature of the Elemental subtype that is Medium? In particular, while you definitely could get a medium air elemental (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/outsiders/elemental/elemental-air/medium-air-elemental), could you also get an invisible stalker (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/outsiders/elemental/invisible-stalker/)? CR 3 vs. CR 7 is a pretty big jump, though I will say that my main reason for even considering it - i.e. the reason it came to mind to even look - is that my PC primarily uses his psicrystal as a spy.

There are templates that turn creatures into elementals, and certain Medium creatures of epic status qualify for said templates...

Good point.
