notification emails are not send

I don't get any emails anymore from subscribed threads. I've checked and I still have my subscriptions and I have checked all the threads as I know that you only get new emails after you have checked the thread.

Are they being redirected to a spam folder or blocked entirely by your filter?

They're not the spam folder, I looked (that does happen from time to time). And I haven't put any filter up (I'm not using my work email for this as there they probably are). I know this has happened before.
