Aloha friends,

Here’s a thing. It’s an update of a thing I may have posted in the past.

Pact of the Blight
Your Patron has chosen to afflict you with a supernatural malady, perhaps as punishment, a test, or a twisted display of its affection. Normally this disease is no more debilitating than a mild headache or runny nose, perhaps a palid complexion. In this state it is harmless to those around you, however by force of will you can allow it to ravage your form. It may expand as colonies of fungus across your flesh, horrid pustules that leak ichor, or even begin transforming you to stone or gold with shimmering marks of your Patrons claim on your being. In this state it becomes aggressively communicable infecting any creature in range.

As an action you can accrue up to your Proficiency bonus levels of exhaustion as you allow the blight to ravage your form. All creatures within 10 feet x your current level of exhaustion, or that start their turn there, have their movement speed halved and must succeed on a constitution saving throw against your Warlock spell DC or be Poisoned.

Creatures can repeat this saving throw at the end of their turn when they have moved outside the infectious radius of your Blight.

You can recover from a number of levels of the exhaustion caused by your Blight when you complete a short rest.

Brainfire
Prerequisites: Great Old One Patron, Pact of the Blight
Your Blight causes a hyper sensitivity to pain. The first time a creature poisoned by your Blight takes damage each turn they suffer an additional 1d6 psychic damage.

Infernal Chills and Fever
Prerequisites: Fiend Patron, Pact of the Blight
Your Blight inflicts Stygian Chills and Avernian fever. When a creature begins its turn poisoned by your Blight it suffers Fire and Cold damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

Deepborn Parasite
Prerequisite: Fathomless Patron, Pact of the Blight
You learn the Infestation Cantrip. When a creature poisoned by your Blight fails a saving throw against Infestation or is hit by your Tentacle attack, you can choose to have it produce a monstrous volume of thick sticky mucus. The mucus reduces its speed to 0 until it or another creature uses an action to free it.

Wishful Thinking
Prerequisites: Genie Patron, Pact of the Blight
Creatures Poisoned by your Blight become preoccupied with fantasies of what your Patron offers. At the beginning of their turn they must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become Incapacitated until the end of their turn.

Ringshroom
Prerequisites: Archfey Patron, Pact of the Blight
Creatures that end their turn Poisoned by your Blight age 1d4 years.

Test of Faith
Prerequisites: Celestial Patron, Pact of the Blight
While suffering from the exhaustion caused by your Blight, your Patron punishes those that would bring you harm. Creatures that hit you with weapon attacks suffer radiant damage equal to your current level of exhaustion + your Proficiency bonus.

Restless Blood
Prerequisites: Hexblade Patron
Creatures Poisoned by your Blight have vulnerability to piercing and slashing damage. The first time they suffer additional piercing or slashing damage from this vulnerability the blood letting ends the effects of your Blight on them until they are infected again.

Accursed Pox
Prerequisites: Pact of the Blight, Level 7
Your Patron empowers your blight transforming it into a physical and spiritual malady. Creatures normally immune to the Poison Condition or Disease suffer the effects of your Blight normally.

this is a really cool concept, one thing i would say is don't make it exhaustion, just hp. exhaustion is one of the most broken mechanics in 5e and having your main subclass ability reliant on it makes it nearly impossible to play.
