A Trivial Achilles Heel

I've loved trivia games my entire life and its been a goal in the back of my head to be on Jeopardy someday. However, one of the points where I'm weakest is that I don't know all that much about sports. As a starting point, could someone recommend to me a good book of sports records that I could buy and then just start memorizing so I don't have to try and patch a lot together through Wikipedia or similar?

Gray's Sports Almanac (https://backtothefuture.fandom.com/wiki/Grays_Sports_Almanac), published circa 2015, claims to have complete statistics for sports over a fifty year span.

Also, just in case one of the answers is a trivia show in which the question/answer portions are inverted, the answer is "what is 'Jeopardy!'?" It's got an exclamation mark.
