[3.5] The Keep on the Borderlands

Just saw a 5E conversion of The Keep on the Borderlands in my FB feed.

Was there ever an official, unofficial, or 3rd party 3.0 or 3.5 conversion of this module?

Official? No. The Cylon agents infesting WOTC's marketing department were successful in their mission at refusing to actually do anything their customers wanted.

Unofficial? Yes. Over on ENWorld they had conversions of a number of older modules, and Keep on the Borderlands was one of them. You can find the thread referring to the conversions library here (https://www.enworld.org/threads/attempt-to-rebuild-conversion-library-please-upload-conversions-to-3-5-here.245278/), and the RTF document conversion (which is really just update notes, not a full rewrite of the text) can be downloaded here (https://www.enworld.org/attachments/borderlands_conversion-rtf.37565/), from within that thread. The document refers to some sort of "conversion agreement" with WOTC, so it may have had some sorta, kinda blessing from some filing clerk at WOTC.


EDIT: In fact, Eric Noah (the EN in ENWorld) also kept a separate library website here. (http://www.enworld.org/ericnoah/3econversionsdocs.htm) Contains Keep and a lot of other conversions to 3.0/3.5, may or may not have some broken links in it.
