I have a scenario in my upcoming game I’m working on that involves this temple that’s like an ancient electric plant that’s under siege by a species of parasite that’s siphoning electricity. I wanted something that could be shown in various “life cycle” stages and CR’s like egg, larva, adolescent, adult, queen, etc rather than applying any additional random monsters to mix things up.

I’d imagine larva would be around CR 1-2 while the queen would be CR 10-12 or so. Aesthetically I’m visualizing something similar to the Metroid species:

I mean I’m knowledgeable enough that I can modify existing stat blocks so even anything similar to this format would be helpful.

The team will probably be at about level 10 by that point in my game and there’s between 6-7 of them.

Any ideas?

The Skitterwidget (p. 136) from Candlekeep Mysteries? They apparently have a biological cycle despite also being constructs! (I don't understand it either.)
