See title. It came up 'cause of this thread (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?645671-Ways-a-14th-level-character-can-solo-kill-a-Marilith-Least-optimization-possible), and while I know the WotC pregens were BAD, I'm curious as to how bad they really are. And how much of the badness was tactics, as compared to actual build.

Enemies and Allies (p.53-64) has all thirteen PHB iconics statted out at levels 5, 10 and 15.

In the same vibe, you can check the Ultimate NPC Database where a few of us keep adding the NPC we create for our games.

Mialee must have taken her candle caster levels starting at 16, then, since Tome And Blood was already out by then.

(or, Doylistically, they didn't use any PrCs from non-core sources. But I like that explanation better).

I'm pretty sure that if you go through all the books, you'll find the iconics presented with numerous, sometimes contradictory abilities. In the earlier days of 3E, they had a strict "splatbooks don't require other splatbooks to work" policy (which is partly why the epic and divine rules are such a mess) so what appeared in one would be ignored in all the others.

My understanding is that they used core-only material for playtesting CR, except for the ELH monsters obviously.

You can find several (more than several actually) here (https://web.archive.org/web/20210312021816/http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/fc) and here (https://web.archive.org/web/20200422183516/http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd%2Farch%2Fcc).

Probably. Was more making a joke, though.

Though at one point I WAS trying to make an effort to catalogue the abilities of all the Iconics based on appearances in the books... I should dig that up...

going through the lists provided I have found Gorg, the ettin barbarian sorcerer.
I feel like it is such a joke reading it. It would not be able to cast any spells while raging and never got above level 2 spells with the CR 16 version. though using blur or mirror image could mess with someone who did not have blind fighting or true sight.
