Full caster bard is one of the 5E changes I don't like. Rather than just homebrew a top spell level of 6 and call them half casters, has anyone else already done this?

I see a couple on the Homebrew side of things

https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?637362-the-Bard-reimagined-as-a-half-caster

Found those in here https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?481588-D-amp-D-5e-Homebrew-Compendium-2
So it may be worth taking a look in there if there is anything else.

I make no guarantee of quality, but at least it's something you can start at.

Half-casters top out at 5th actually (see Artificer, Paladin, Ranger).

There's one in my sig. i need to fix a couple of small things, but I think it makes for an interesting class. You're welcome to give it a read and tell me what you think!

Galder's Gazetteer has a half caster bard, and its main mechanic are performances. They can emulate spells and do some unique stuff, and does a good job of giving them power without just being another full caster.
