Do I have to mention the word Critique, or something, to get criticism?

The body is alittle big and the hands are alittle too small.

Correct, Its a Clone Trooper in Phase II armor, abiet one with a DC-17 interchangable weapons platform. Expect another one soon, abiet a clone commando (the one's who normally wielded DC-17s)

yeah, details good, proportions bad...try to do the arms a little more fat, the torso a little shorter, try examining yourself in a mirror to see the right proportions better...it always works for me

I agree with Bayar. It should be fairly easy to shorten the torso area using a simple graphics program. You should redo the arms. They're supposed to be thicker, and more angular. Right now, your arms look like they only have one very curvy bone. Don't forget that the arms also have elbows. Would I also suggest you try for a simplified versions of hands? I find them fairly difficult to do on the computer. For the head, you need to take into account the skull under the helmet. I suggest doing a skeleton of basic proportions as the background layer, then covering it up as you go along. Also, don't be afraid to make certain areas of the costume irregular, for example, the mike would have a corner that is not within the round shape of the helmet.

There's a few other very small details I could point out, but I hope that my critique wasn't too harsh, and gives you some ideas...
Unless you didn't want critique?

Human arms go allll the way down to your knees (how do you spell knees?)
and the hands are the same size as your face. That's why with my Oots, you may notice that I draw the arms and hands bigger then most.
Feet are the same size as between your hands and your elbow, although that doesn't really matter with oots.
Also shorten the boddy it selfe, it should be ruffly the same size as between your knee and genetals.

Orangutans have arms that long, I don't think Humans do Nameless :smalltongue:
Human arms go to the Pelvis-Thigh joining

No, measure your arms bedmon, they go neely down to your knees :P at least everyone I know does :smalltongue:

EDIT: Okay fine, half to you knees, but closer to your knees the pelvis. :smalltongue:

Thanks for the porportions critique, and I do need to work on the hands... I added them in so I could do starships normally (I wondered how starships would work in starship combat, and ... it snowballed)

I agree, the detail is very good but he could do with slighty more substantial hands.

Well it would be more disturbing if you see it...but I can barely draw in Inkscape...http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff15/bayar_m2003/nameless.pngAnd I know Nameless does not have a face...but a skull? maybe it is black...

EDIT: Damn, did it avatar size...well, your SAN is spared, for now....

Only on these forums could we argue about the length of human arms in proportion in the context of drawing stick figures

ACtually, Otts Skeletons have the ribcage as one-piece, according to the Adventure game's Skele-men card.

Also, improved concept art will be up tommorow... Hopefully.

Yes, I know the helmet can't fit the head in. The problem is, in order to fit the head in, the Helmet needs to be REALLY bulbous. Also, I still need to work on making grasping hands.

Also, I'd like to reveal the charecter this concept art is of.

Astral 32 is a modified clone commando (Early in his career, the republic had trouble aquiring a set of Katarn-class commando armor for him (a.k.a No, I will not give him a 25,000 credit item at first level)) who does not have the advanced aging gene for unknown reasons. He has a tendancy to be overly analytical, and can be somewhat naive regarding morality, although the fact he developed scruples on his own is... odd, for a clone. He has a litterally photographic memory, but is easily destracted during conversations by holonet transmissions, flashy advertisements, or that nick he aquired on his armor last mission.

I'd put the head in front of the armour pads, and move the eyes a bit closer together.

I hope you're templating this, because using this in a comic would take ages otherwise. :smalleek:

The armes/sleeves shouldnt be so curvy I think.

And why are the shoulder pads going in front of the face?

So I'm getting the feeling I should do more jointed?

Like this?

And I will modify the shoulder pads. In other news, in order to fit his head in his helmet, I'm thinking of doing more realistic heads.

hmm, quick question

isnt it customary for the helmit to be smaller than the actual head?

I mean c'mon! take a chapter from Dark Helmit and his comically oversized...helmit.

If you position the eyes and mouth further to the right-hand side, it'll look like he's being seen from the right, as is typical of OotS.
