Giant's avatars are for public use; as a result, the few that easily stand out of them are actually the most most picked, and thus stand out a lot less.

Most people one the forums are, surprisingly, casual users, and many come here for a question or such, and really don't feel they need a new Avatar. And that's just fine.

However, if you see a non-giant Avatar being used by multiple people, and they don't seem to credit the people, I'd suggest you PM the original Avatarist.

On a more serious note, yes, certain Giant-made avatars are overused, but the users who actually stay on find Arts 'n' Crafts and our wonderful Avatarmancers soon enough. The users who don't stay, eh, to hell with them.

On a less serious note, I don't know about you guys, but I'm keeping this and seeing if it catches on. Amotis isn't online right now...let's see how many we can get before he notices.
