Path of War: Destruction Zealot

If a Zealot with the Destruction Mission choose to use their Echoes of Steel to grant a Strike to an ally, can the Zealot invest pp into the strike as per their Mission?
For example, if I grant an ally Steel Flurry Strike , can I invest 3 pp to make the 3 attacks dealt by my ally, with my strike, 3 separate 15' cones or 20' lines?

I do believe the answer is no- The class ability does not treat the zealot as using the maneuver through a proxy, but rather enabling the ally to use the maneuver as if they knew it.

On the bright side that does mean the ally can take advantage of any ability they have that could be applicable to said maneuver, like say a rogue's sneak attack damage or a ranger's favored enemy bonus.
