Ok, this has gotta be one of the worst movies of the year... and most certainly the most depressing I have ever seen ever.

I am going to give a synopsis, so be warned, though really I don't think any sane person would enjoy it, even if you are an utter emo and want to feel better about yourself.

Ok, a rich kid with a heart problem goes to get a heart transplant and is awake through the whole operation as he screams silently in his head and has out of body experiences. For the record, you get to see a real operation done, flesh sliced, ribs cut, sutures, the whole works... while he screams and screams and screams.

Finds out his best friends and wife are in on a plot to kill him and get his money. They sabotage his new heart and his mother kills herself so that he can have hers. He survives and awakes to a world where everyone he loves is either dead or in jail for trying to kill him.

The end.

Oh, and he has totally pointless flashbacks to when he was a kid and his mom killed his abusive, coke-snorting father by accident as he was coming to beat his younger self. Y'know, just in case the rest of this guy's life wasn't screwed up enough.

Also what is truly annoying is everyone that you hate in this movie turns out to be ok. Everyone that was nice turned out to be absolutely evil. Was nothing but one massive bloody red herring.

Personally I'm not sure who was in more pain, the guy or me while watching it.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, VT, but have there been any recent movies you've actually enjoyed watching?

It seems like most of your movie review threads have been negative.

That sounds pretty good, actually. Who's in it?

Only the ones that are REALLY bad get me riled up enough to post about it. Have seen some good ones, but none of late have been THAT good. At least enough to start a post about.

Will you just stop it...

U.S., and yeah, I got to screen it early because my sister works at the theatre. At the time it hadn't even come out to the rest of the public yet.

Any explosions? Any swashbuckling? Any witty/cool dialogue? Any heroic death scenes? Any armoured polar bears?
Nope? Just sounds like a gore porn version of the pointless "Donnie Darko" to me.

*Meh* Eggy will pass. Thanks for the capsule review VT.

Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba. Yes.

I understand why VT didn't want to say it, but the peoples need to know!
