Pricing a rare chimera hide

My PCs have a full chimera hide to sell -- from the first chimera to be seen by anyone on this plane in 400 years. What would it likely sell for?

In fact, there is a noblewoman interested in it, but I have no idea how much she should offer.

This should be more a function of the party's level and expected loot rather than a concrete fixed price. This is a near-unique item of collectors value; its price is what someone is willing to pay for it. What I'd do is pin a fairly high number for their level for a single item and set that as the price point you have the noblewoman open negotiations with with an upperbound ~25% higher that she is comfortable parting with. Say, for example, if the party is level 3. A 10,000 price point is a huge payout (and close to the party's combined WBL), so perhaps starting at 6,000 as a starting haggling price and let her go up to 8,000 (a cool 2,000 payout for a 4-man party).
