I loved the view of the afterlife where the AC people are waiting in line to meet their LG caseworker for the Southern Gods, but Roy's interview with the celestial got me to thinking:

What will happen (in your opinion) to Miko when she finally meets up with her caseworker? How can she argue with a being of pure Law and Good? Will roy meet her while he's standing on the cloud?

Or

Do you think she'll be turned into undead before she gets that far?

Or

Will she never meet the LG caseworker because of her unrepentant killing of Shojo? If so, what caseworker will she get?

Or she will backhand her caseworker, overpower the security guards, slay 14 Devas, 21 Lantern Archons, 4 LG Pc's, wounded 2 Solars and diced a evil party who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But for her awesome combat abilities she gets a personal invitation from One of the 9 demon lords, becomes a demoness general, contests asmodues, wins, raises a demon and devil army and the Oots, LG, and Xykon have to team up in some obscure way to defeat her.

Also shes pregnant with Hinjo's baby (twins actualy)

Or Her caseworker will point out that 18 years of pure devotion to Law and Good is enough to over balance a screw up when in incredibly stressful conditions and she starts climbing.

Or she is re-incarnated as redcloaks neice (zombified) who then becomes a purple clad ninja in disguise, but Don'y worry, she is realy secretly hayley (cut in half with amnesia).

Of all the crazy theories I've seen. This is by far the craziest. Forshame Yeril. For shame. :smallamused:

Miko was very big on obedience. Recall she stopped on the dime when Shojo ordered her not to attack the OOTS. So nothing violent is likely to happen during the interview.

Now it does look to be stormy and difficult. Miko is not easy to convince she is wrong. So what happens in the final judgement is going to be decided by story need, not moral principle. Based on announced standards, Miko can be rejected or accepted. Roy is accepted for trying. And Miko is perhaps the most trying person we have met. [In more than one way, but it includes the right way.] But Roy is also threatened with being kicked out for relatively trivial offenses. And while Miko's offenses are few, they are distinctly major.

Now the odds are that we will never know. Miko has probably vanished from the story for good. And if she does come back, it will be for the convenience of the story, not for any determination of the interview.

A possible result if her presence is desired is that she is given a 2nd chance of some sort.

She USED to be obedient and stop on a dime when her lord ordered her, but remember; she also attacked Hinjo (her new lord) broke a parley through violence (against Hinjo) oh, AND murdered her former master (Shojo), so I don't think she'll be climbing the mountain anytime soon, especially if she convinces herself that this is really some demonic/fiendish illusion meant to confuse her or test her "devotion" then Yeril might be pretty close :smallwink:

Did no one read her dying words, or were they just thinking "haha! she's dead!"

A lifetime of Law and Good is not going to be negated because she was driven to insanity by an evil halfling. At most, she was Lawful Neutral Good at death, but she's still getting into Celestia.

So she had a bad day. You know how women can be when they PMS.

More seriously, she babbles about obedience and doing her duty to the end. It is most unlikely she would abandon that value.

Miko was able to take bad news from Soon. She would take it from a Deva too.

Roy won't meet her while on the cloud because he's on the wrong side of the mountain. He's a worshipper (or acknowledger, anyway :smallwink: ) of the Northern Gods, Miko followed the Twelve--remember when Eugene said he didn't see all the people who'd died in the battle because they were elsewhere?
